Location & Attractions

LocationMaine Beaches

We like to say The Little Saltbox is close to everything Maine without being anywhere near a crowd.

We’re on the Ferry Road in Saco, directly on the Saco River, and a short walk (1 mile) to Camp Ellis Beach where you can enjoy sailing, kayaking, and paddle boarding. We’re also just 1 mile to Ferry Beach and Ferry Beach State Park and 3 miles to Kinney Shores and Ocean Park, a wonderful beachside community with little cafés and shops.

Historic and always bustling Old Orchard Beach, with its amusement park and pier, is a super short 6 mile drive away. Biddeford Pool (and Hills Beach… one of Maine’s best kept secrets), is also just a short 12 miles drive away.

Portland with all of its gorgeous views, arts and nightlife, and excellent restaurants is 20 min away by car. When you book with us, you’ll find a list of recommended restaurants and things to do (and of course directions to the very best lobster rolls around).
